Interim Pastor
Rev. Dr. Vanessa Bickle
Vanessa is serving as interim Pastor and Deacon-in-Charge while the search for a new vicar continues and is a Penn State Alum happy to be back in Happy Valley! WE ARE!
Vanessa is central PA born and raised but recently retired from a 40+ year career in the aerospace industry where she specialized in the development of complex software for space vehicles. Before moving back to State College, Vanessa served on staff at Church of the Apostles and Christ Church South Riding in Northern Virginia.
Vanessa has a heart for the Gospel and enjoys digging into the hard things of theology in order to continue to unlock the knowledge of God so that we may disciple others.
Vanessa holds a Master's in Theological Studies from Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Virginia and a Doctorate in Ministry from Trinity Anglican Seminary in Ambridge, Pennsylvania as well as a Bachelor's and Master's in Computer Science.
Worship Arts Director
Fawn Phillips
Fawn is our resident worship arts director, coordinating and leading the music for our weekly worship services as well as special events and services such as our annual Advent Lessons and Carols.​
Fawn was born and raised nearby in central PA and recently retired from 40 years of teaching music in the public schools in California, Maryland, and Virginia. Her most recent position was as a high school choral director where her claim to fame was the writing of the school's Alma Mater.
Before moving back to State College, Fawn served on staff at Church of the Apostles and Christ Church South Riding in Northern Virginia.
Fawn has a heart for using music to honor and glorify God.
Fawn holds a Bachelors in Music Education from Penn State University as well as post graduate work in the Church Music Institute of Shenandoah Conservatory.
